SEATTLE - A man wearing a nylon stocking mask robbed at least three passengers on a West Seattle Metro bus at gunpoint before a group of people tackled him, police say.

According to police reports, the suspect got on to the bus at Third Avenue and Pike Street and kept to himself until the bus reached the 6000 block of California Avenue SW.

The report says he then stood up and began to point a gun at people's heads while robbing them.

Eventually a group of passengers took him down and held him until police arrived.

The 19-year-old suspect became violent once inside the car and kicked out the plexiglass window, according to police. Officers say they gained control of him and transferred him to a prisoner transport van.

No one was hurt during the incident.

The suspect is booked into the King County Jail on three counts of armed robbery.

Police say this investigation is ongoing.
