Grocery gangster goes on after-hours shopping spree

SEATTLE — A man armed with a concrete block and a shopping cart broke into a grocery store in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood and had a private shopping spree.

Police were called to the Grocery Outlet on Fourth Avenue South around 3:40 a.m. Sunday for a report of a burglary.
Officers arrived to find the store’s front windows shattered.
Surveillance video from the store showed a man using a concrete block to smash out a pane of glass and then reach in and unlock the door.
Armed with a shopping cart, he then ran though the store, grabbing beer, wine, clothing and even some Easter candy before fleeing.
Luckily, the surveillance camera was able to get a clear shot of the burglar’s face.
Anyone who recognizes the burglar is asked to call Seattle police detectives at 206- 684-5730.
