DES MOINES, Wash. - A Good Samaritan rescued three people near Redondo Beach after their boat tipped over Saturday morning, said officials with the U.S. Coast Guard.
Just after 10 a.m., witnesses reported a 16-foot Catamaran-style boat tip over with multiple people in the water.
The boat capsized about a quarter- to a half-mile off shore.
According to the Coast Guard, three people went into the water.
The Coast Guard responded to the scene, but a Good Samaritan on a boat spotted the people.
The Good Samaritan got the three people out of the water and then aboard their boat.
The capsized boat was then towed by the Good Samaritan’s boat to the shore at Redondo.
The three people were not injured and are OK.
