Gang detectives arrest man wanted in shooting, attempted robbery

SEATTLE — A man suspected of shooting a victim in the leg last week during an attempted robbery was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Renton.

After Seattle police robbery detectives developed information on the suspect, gang detectives followed up and located the man at a home in Renton.

He was arrested as he was leaving the house in a car.  During the arrest, a handgun was seen underneath the front passenger seat where the suspect was sitting, police said.

The car was impounded pending a search warrant.

The 20-year-old man was brought back to Seattle where he was interviewed by robbery detectives and then booked into the King County Jail for investigation of robbery and an assault warrant.
