SEATTLE - The FBI said four child sex exploitation victims were recovered last week in Washington as part of a national operation.
In addition, 13 people suspected of exploiting children and related crimes were arrested by child exploitation task forces in the state.
The FBI office in Seattle said Monday it was part of the nationwide Operation Cross Country that resulted in 168 recoveries and 281 arrests.
The Seattle FBI office said 56 adults who were being victimized through prostitution were also recovered, some of whom were forced into prostitution since they were juveniles.
The operation took place June 16 to 19 in Everett, Kent, Lacey, Lakewood, Tacoma, Tukwila, Olympia and Seattle.
