Spokesman: Flood risk low along King County Rivers

CARNATION, Wash. — The Snoqualmie River and the Tolt River both were at flood stage Wednesday creating some minor problems particularly where the two rivers meet near Carnation.

KIRO 7 found a small access road flooded.

King County Department of  Transportation workers said roads in the area would likely be closed off overnight.

The county flood center was also open for a time.  Operators took questions about what would happen if western Washington get even more precipitation.

A spokesman for King County said the risk for any serious flooding that would affect people or property is very low, despite all the recent rain.
