Flipped travel trailer blocks I-5

BOW, Wash. — A travel trailer that was being pulled by a van overturned on Interstate 5 at Bow Thursday afternoon.

Washington State Patrol troopers said a man and a woman from Ferndale were heading southbound and had just passed the Bow Hill truck scale when the 59-year-old female driver moved over to the left for traffic entering the freeway at about 12:09 p.m.

She told troopers that after she moved over, the trailer began to oscillate beyond her control and it flipped onto its side.

She said her husband and two Great Danes were on the way to Shelton for a dog show.

Neither the people nor the dogs were injured.

The accident caused both lanes of I-5 to be closed for 30 to 45 minutes.
