Flight attendants protest to keep knives off planes

SEATTLE — Flight attendants at Sea-Tac Airport are joining a nationwide fight Monday against a recent policy change allowing knives on planes.

The Association of Flight Attendants leaflets ask passengers to sign a petition calling on members of Congress to overturn the new policy that starts April 25.

Flight attendants started handing out leaflets at 8 a.m. at the SkyBridge 5.

In March, the Transportation Security Administration changed its policy and allowed pocketknives to be brought aboard aircrafts.
