Fire rips through Port Orchard home

A Port Orchard home was destroyed after a fire ripped through it Friday night, authorities said.
PORT ORCHARD, Wash. —

 A Port Orchard home was destroyed after a fire ripped through it Friday night, authorities said.

The fire happened in the 200 block of Caseco Lane just before 9:30 p.m.

Crews responded to the location after a report of a residential structure fire. When Port Orchard police officers arrived, the home was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters put out the fire and the house was reported as abandoned.

The Kitsap County Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the fire.
