Fire damages South Seattle home

SEATTLE — A South Seattle home was damaged by a fire early Sunday morning, authorities said.

The fire started after 4 a.m. on 61^st Avenue South.

According to the Seattle Fire Department, the fire spread from the deck of the home to the kitchen and the attic.

Seven people and three dogs inside the home got out safe.

Fire officials estimated the damages at $175,000, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
