Fire damages Everett home

EVERETT, Wash. — A fire damaged an Everett home Saturday evening, said Fire Marshal Rick Robinson.

Crews responded to a report of smoke coming from a house in the 3700 block of Rucker Avenue at 6:32 p.m.

Firefighters found the fire in the basement and extinguished the flames.

After a search of the home, there was no one inside.

As crews were finishing their work, the owner of the home returned.

No injuries were reported.

According to Robinson, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
