Fire damages Capitol Hill apartment building

SEATTLE — A fire damaged a Capitol Hill apartment building Sunday morning, and many residents are displaced, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

The fire happened at a building in the 400 block of Belmont Avenue East before 11:30 a.m.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at the location, and crews extinguished the fire in about 20 minutes.

Officials with the Seattle Fire Department said there were no injuries reported, but an occupant in the building was taken to Harborview Medical Center as a precaution.
