SEATTLE - A woman was shot by an officer after an altercation at a North Seattle motel.
Shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday, Seattle officers were called to a disturbance in the 12500 block of Aurora Avenue North.
When officers arrived, they saw a disturbance in front of the Orion Motel.
A 19-year-old woman there spotted the officers and ran across Aurora Avenue North. An officer gave chase and caught up with the woman in the parking lot of Ricks Tire and Service.
The officer fired his gun, hitting the woman in the leg. She was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have not yet said if the woman was armed or what prompted the officer to fire.
