Federal Way house may be total loss after fire

A homeowner in Federal Way woke up to the smell of smoke and what sounded like a loud explosion early Tuesday morning. 

All three residents of the house on the 33700 block of 37th Avenue Southwest are okay but firefighters say the house may be a total loss. Firefighters battled the fire for about an hour and were able to get it under control around 2:00 a.m.
