Fans proud of Seahawks despite playoff game loss

SEATTLE — Fans cheered loud throughout Seattle while watching the Seahawks play the Atlanta Falcons.

The Seahawks came back after being down 20-0 at halftime, but lost to the Falcons 30-28 in the last seconds of the NFC divisional playoff game on Sunday.

KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Deborah Horne was at Buckley’s in Belltown where she met fans who were upset, but still proud of the team.

“I’m sad,” said Seahawks fan Melissa Barden. “But you know what? They did great. They went way further than we thought they were going to at the beginning of the season. So go Hawks!”

Among the sea of fans, one Falcons fan stood out.

“I love the Seahawks, but they’re playing my team,” said Atlanta native and Falcons fan, Steven Siler. “So any other game, they can win, but not today.”

Fans are still believers and are looking forward to next season.

“Russell Wilson, way to pull it off, and we will see you next year,” said Barden.
