Fredrickson, Pierce County —

Firefighters rushed to the scene of 74th Avenue, E., in Frederickson to find a single family house fully engulfed in flames.

Crews arrived shortly after 5 a.m. and were able to contain the fire in about an hour. The family of five inside barely escaped.

Some family members suffered singed hair and burns from the fire.

All five family members were rushed to the hospital. The family's father is in serious condition. Graham firefighters said the family had just moved in a few days ago.

The house is a total loss.

Investigators are still trying to find out what caused the fire.
