Emergency crews respond to natural gas leak in SoDo

SEATTLE — A natural gas leaks shut down streets Wednesday morning in SoDo, said officials with the Seattle Fire Department.

The incident happened at South Holgate and South Occidental Street just before noon.

Officials said a crew hit an inch and a quarter service line.

Emergency crews responded to the location and capped off the leak.

Amtrak employees were evacuated nearby as a precaution but returned back to work.

There were no injuries, and blocked off streets were reopened.
