Two arrested in Eastside crime spree that included arson, assault, burglary

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Bellevue police arrested two men in an early morning crime spree that included hit-and-run, assault, arson and burglary.

Shortly before 5 a.m. Friday, police received a report of a hit-and-run crash in the 4000 block of 181st Place SE in Issaquah.

The homeowner said a suspicious vehicle that had been parked in their driveway hit and damaged their garage door, then fled the area before police arrived.

The homeowner had written down the license plate number and police discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen from Snohomish.

A little more than an hour later, a security guard at an office park in the 3300 block of 161st Avenue SE called Bellevue police to report he saw two men walking away from a burning car.  When confronted by the guard, one of the men threatened the guard with a hammer. Both suspects then ran away.
