BREMERTON, Wash. — The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) is searching for a toothless man in his 20 after he crashed into a car and took off.
The crash occurred in the 5800 block of Harlow Drive, in the Kitsap Lake area of Bremerton.
The sheriff's office reports that the man smashed into a 2000 gold Honda Accord a bit before 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
The man was driving a 1994 black Honda Civic, which he abandoned after fleeing the scene.
The occupants of the gold Honda Accord, a 59-year-old woman and an 89-year-old passenger, were transported to Harrison Medical Center for serious injuries.
An attempted K-9 track was unsuccessful.
The man was last seen wearing a tan jacket and blue jeans. The sheriff's office describes him as slim with dark curly hair.
The road was closed for about four hours.
KCSO is investigating the collision as a felony vehicular assault. They believe that excessive speed was a contributing factor in the collision.
It is unknown whether or not drugs or alcohol were a contributing factor. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1 or the sheriff's traffic unit at 360-337-4634.
