The concrete barrier is about 20 feet long.

At first, police knew the driver was killed, but firefighters could not tell if others were in the truck.

After workers removed the debris, the bodies of three people were extricated -- a man, woman and their baby.

Angeline Road East was closed at SR 410 for the investigation until 10:15 p.m.

The sidewalk installation is a City of Bonney Lake project.  Police continue to investigate what role, if any, the construction played in the barrier falling.

The community is reeling from the loss, including the police officers that had to work the tragic scene.

"It hits us all, we all have families, we all have children of our own, so to see something like this is rough," said Todd Green with Bonney Lake police.

According to EastPointe Foursquare Church's Facebook page, there will be a candlelight vigil for the Ellis family Tuesday at 7 p.m.
