Driver killed in collision near Preston

PRESTON, Wash. — A 29-year-old man was killed Saturday morning in a crash near Preston, said the Washington State Patrol.

The collision happened after 8:30 a.m. at Southeast Highpoint Way and Southeast 79th Street.

According to the state patrol, a driver in a silver 2001 Toyota Celica was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 approaching milepost 22.

The vehicle left the roadway and landed on its top at the intersection of Southeast Highpoint Way and Southeast 79th Street.

When authorities arrived, the driver was deceased at the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
