Subject of Amber Alert found safe in Washington

UPDATE: Andria Britt and her 6-year-old, Daniel Britt, were found safe Thursday in Washington state.

ORIGINAL STORY: The suspect in an Amber Alert on the other side of the country has ties to Western Washington and may be headed there.

Authorities in Rhode Island believe that 6-year-old Daniel Britt was taken by his mother, Andria Britt, who has family on Camano Island.

Britt and her son could already be in or headed to that area.

Based on that information, authorities have released the license plate number of a vehicle police say belongs to her father. It is a gray 1992 Chevrolet Astro Van. It has Washington plate ABR-1512.

She may also be driving a red 2004 Focus with Rhode Island plate 942-649.

Daniel Britt is 4 feet 3 inches tall, about 50 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.  Andria Britt is 35,  5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 110 to 120 pounds.

Anyone who sees them is asked to call 911.
