BURIEN, Wash. - Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Walgreens in Burien on March 9.
Deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the Walgreens in the 14600 block of Ambaum Boulevard Southwest.
According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, employees told police a man entered the store and went to the pharmacy counter and demanded “oxy” from an employee.
Deputies said the employee told the man that the Oxycodone was in a time-delayed safe, but the man told the employee to retrieve the oxy and not to touch anything.
When the man retrieved the pills he fled the scene. After the employee reported the robbery to the store’s manager, the manager ran out and saw the man get into a newer black sedan with a license plate starting the “AHH” or in similar letters.
Authorities describe the man as white, in his 20s, about 5 feet 11 inches, with a thin build and brown hair. He was last seen wearing red hooded sweatshirt.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311.
