Detectives investigate shots fired outside of U-District establishment

SEATTLE — Police are investigating shots fired outside of an establishment early Saturday morning in the University District.

The incident happened after 2 a.m. outside of Fusion Lounge on Northeast 45th Street and Seventh Avenue Northeast.

Police said officers responded to reports of multiple shots fired at the location.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found shell casings from a parking lot and a damaged vehicle.

According to police, people involved with the incident left the area.

Witnesses told officers they heard shots being fired near in the nearby parking lot.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call 911 or the Seattle Police Department.

The incident remains as an active and ongoing investigation.
