Details emerge about parade for Seahawks

Updated:

SEATTLE —

A parade is planned for Wednesday to honor the Seahawks and their Super Bowl win.

The parade will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will start at the Seattle Center.  It will then go down Fourth Avenue to CenturyLink Field where a rally will be held.

KIRO 7 will broadcast the victory parade live on television and also have a livestream available on kirotv.com.

The rally at CenturyLink Field will start at 2 p.m. and will be a ticketed event.  The Seahawks are expected to release more information soon.

To keep things manageable, fans are encouraged either choose the rally or the parade and not try to make it to both.

The parade will feature Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, King County Executive Dow Constantine and Gov. Jay Inslee.

Along with the Seahawks, the Sea Gals, Helmet car and Blue Thunder drumline will also participate.

The city is meeting at 3:30 p.m. Monday to work on finalizing logistics.  That meeting is expected to last two hours, after which more details are expected to be released.

KIRO 7 will stream the parade live on Wednesday.
