SeaTac pursuit ends in crash; suspect found in house

SEATAC, Washington — A man is in custody after leading police on a chase through SeaTac on Thursday evening that ended in a crash, the King County Sheriff's Office said.

Police said they were checking on a stolen vehicle at a house nearby when the suspect jumped into a car that was in front of officers and drove off .

The man failed to yield near the intersection of 172nd Street Southa nd 51st Avenue South and crashed into a bush and a fence, police said. He fled on foot, and was later found in an abandoned house near the intersection of 170th Lane Southa nd 53rd Avenue South.

Tukwila police said they do not believe the man was the suspect in another high-profile incident in the city Thursday, in which one man was shot and injured.
