Police: Man robbed of $43,000 worth of sports tickets

SEATTLE — A man told police he drove home from a Sounders game Thursday only to realize that $43,000 in sports tickets had been stolen from his car sometime during the game, the Seattle Police Department said.

The theft was reported at about 1:18 a.m. Police said the man parked in a garage in the 1500 block of Utah Avenue South and went to the game. On his way home, he realized his ticket books containing Mariners, Sounders, Tacoma Rainiers and Anaheim/Los Angeles Angels tickets were gone.

Officers said they didn't find any evidence of damage or forced entry to the vehicle, and a search of the garage turned up nothing.

The teams and arenas that the tickets were good for will be notified, police said.
