BURIEN, Wash. - King County Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for suspects involved in an altercation that ended in gun fire in front of Andy's Handy Mart in Burien.
According to deputies, two vehicles described as a Lexus and a dark-colored SUV pulled into the parking lot of the mini mart at 150 Southwest 160th Street around 11:30 p.m. onTuesday.
Several subjects exited the vehicles and got into an altercation when someone tried to pull someone else's hair through the sunroof of the Lexus.
Gunfire was exchanged by both parties.
A man with at least one gunshot wound to the neck was driven away from the scene by friends in the Lexus and dropped off at Highline Hospital.
Medics transferred the man to Harborview, where he remains in critical condition.
Neighbor Clarence Eidem says at first he thought the gunfire was fireworks.
"And then there was five more, I heard just pop, pop, pop, pop, real loud, real close together. I ran outside as quick as I could and could see the cars leaving," said Eidem.
Deputies are searching for the suspects.
Anyone with information is asked to call the King County Sheriff's Office.
