MAPLE VALLEY, Wash. - Police are looking for two men who attacked a 15-year-old girl on the Lake Wildnerness Trial near Maple Valley on Wednesday night.
UPDATE: The King County Sheriff's Office said the girl lied about the attack.
Investigators said that at about 8 p.m., the teen was jogging on the trail when she passed two men in their late teens or early 20s who started to heckle her.
The girl said she tried to ignore them, but the men attacked her and tried to take off her pants. She fought them off, but one of the men stabbed her in the leg.
She ran away and asked a neighbor to call 911.
Police set up a perimeter and searched for the men, but they were not found.
The girl was treated for a non-life-threatening stab wound.
