Couple badly burned in Tacoma house fire

TACOMA, Wash. — A man and a woman are recovering at the hospital after they received second-degree burns during a house fire in Tacoma Tuesday night.

The fire broke out around 10:30 p.m. at the house on South Fawcett Avenue near 45th Street, firefighters said. When firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters said the man suffered burns on his face and head, and the woman had burns on her hands and legs.

Investigators do not yet know what caused the fire.
