'Connect with Jenni Hogan' draws on the power of KIRO 7's social media followers

SEATTLE — KIRO 7 Eyewitness News' social media community turned out in full force Thursday night for Connect with Jenni Hogan. The show, which focused on showing people different ways to use social media in their lives, combined traditional TV with real-time social media interaction from viewers.

Thousands of viewers tuned in or livestreamed the show from all around the world and offered their thoughts on the show, which were incorporated into Jenni’s discussions with her guests and panelists.

While Connect was on TV from 10:30-11 p.m. (PST), #KIROConnect became the No. 2 Twitter trending topic in the United States, trended at No. 1 in Seattle, and remained in Seattle's trending topics well into Friday.
