TACOMA, Washington - Firefighters are being called back from a blaze at a commercial building in Tacoma, according to radio scanner traffic.
Unconfirmed early reports were that there may have been a hazmat situation at the site because of the presence of sodium oxidizer. Firefighters said via radio communications that they wouldn't attack the fire until the hazmat issue was addressed, but Chopper 7 video showed firefighters cutting holes in the roof and spraying down the flames.
Later, firefighters were heard being called to back off from the fire.
We will update this story as more information becomes available.
