Clinton Meets With Staff on First Day Back to Work

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton resumed her official duties on Monday (January 7), five days after being released from a hospital for treatment of a blood clot. The 65-year-old Clinton met with her staff at the start of a week-long schedule containing nearly a dozen meetings, including three at the White House. Her staff gifted her an American football helmet and jersey with the number 112 on it, reflecting the number of countries she has visited as Secretary of State.
