Car slams into Puyallup credit union

PUYALLUP, Wash. — A credit union is picking up the pieces after a car slammed into the building on Puyallup's South Hill, and the driver said her car is to blame.

The crash occurred at the Harborstone Credit Union at 3921 South Meridian Street Monday afternoon.

Two adults and a baby were in the car that crashed.

Puyallup police said four people suffered minor injuries.

One victim, an employee of the credit union, was transported to a hospital as a precaution.

The driver told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Deborah Horne that she pressed on the brake, and instead of stopping, the Honda accelerated.

She said the same thing occurred two months ago, but she thought it had been fixed.
