KENT, Wash. - A Kent apartment was damaged early Sunday morning after a car struck it, officials with the Kent Fire Department said.
The incident happened at about 2 a.m. in the 23600 block of Pacific Highway South.
When crews arrived at the location, they found a vehicle in the apartment.
According to authorities, the car narrowly missed a resident who was asleep at the time of the crash.
The resident was not injured, and the American Red Cross will be assisting him.
Authorities said the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.
