A friend of a man who was attacked with a knife fought off the attacker with wasp spray, Seattle police said.
Officers said that about 1 a.m. Tuesday, the 23-year-old victim was in Seattle’s Freeway Park when he got into an argument with another man, who is dating the victim’s ex-girlfriend.
As the argument escalated, one man grabbed a knife and stabbed the 23-year-old in the back.
One of the victim’s friends, who was also in the park, sprayed the knife-wielding man with a can of wasp spray. The attacker left the park.
The victim’s friends took him to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police believe they have identified the victim’s attacker and are conducting a search.
