• Bicyclists hurt in separate crashes in Seattle

    SEATTLE -

Two bicyclists were hit within hours of each other Monday morning in Seattle and a search is on for a hit-and-run driver in one of the crashes.

Police quickly cleared that scene at Yale and Fairview late Monday morning and officers started looking for the car and its driver who fled the scene after hitting a cyclist.

Officers are looking for a woman driving a white Buick Century.

The bicyclist was not seriously injured.

Several hours before, another car and bike crashed on Seattle's Capitol Hill.

Police said the bicyclist may have broken some bones but should survive the wreck.

The driver of that car told KIRO 7's Jeff Dubois that she simply didn't see the bicyclist in the road.
