Vincent, the official shop cat at Capitol Hill vintage store Pretty Parlor, was attacked earlier this week by an off-leash dog and was in surgery Thursday.
His owner says Vincent suffered puncture wounds from the dog, and might lose a leg.
Vincent has been the shop cat at Pretty Parlor for 12 years and likes to sit on chairs outside the shop.
A man was walking his dog off-leash earlier this week when witnesses say the dog attacked Vincent, according to store owner Anna Banana Lange.
She said Vincent’s sternum is broken and they are still looking for the dog and its owner.
Vincent was still in surgery as of Thursday afternoon.
