Authorities: Man steals semi-truck, assaults deputy

Authorities said they arrested a man who stole a semi-truck and assaulted a Snohomish County deputy Thursday afternoon.

STANWOOD, Wash. — The incident started at about 12:30 p.m. when authorities received a report that a man stole a 10-wheel semi-truck from the 2600 block of Norman Road.

A deputy located the semi-truck and a man shortly after. As the deputy tried to question the man, the man assaulted the deputy and fled the scene on foot.

The deputy had minor injuries.

Police located the man at about 2 p.m. and took him into custody.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
