COVINGTON, Wash. -  Authorities are investigating the death of a 16-year-old Montana boy in Covington.

According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, a body was found on a road Saturday morning in the 19400 block of Southeast 267th Street.

Neighbors told deputies they heard a disturbance overnight. Then authorities received a call about a body on the road around 5:30 a.m.

When authorities arrived, they found several injuries on the body of a teen boy.

Deputies told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Deborah Horne that the victim was in a gang, but the incident is not gang-related.

According to authorities, the teen was drunk and was stopped by police earlier in the evening. He was taken home, but then left.

Investigators said the teen got into an apparent fight with a couple of people, and then was found dead.

As of Saturday afternoon, deputies arrested a 26-year-old Covington man in connection with the death. There was another person of interest but was found to be a witness.

The King County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident and calling the death suspicious at this time.
