Authorities investigate death of woman found in burned home

Detectives are investigating the death of a woman found in an Arlington home Saturday night.

ARLINGTON, Wash. — According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, a house fire in the 16000 block of Jim Creek Road was reported at about 9 p.m. by a neighbor.

When crews arrived, a neighbor told firefighters that they were concerned about the residents inside.

Authorities said on Sunday morning, detectives and fire personnel searched the home and found the body of a woman.

The identification of the victim and cause of death are pending from Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Authorities will continue to investigate the incident.
