AUBURN, Wash. — A woman was shot in the neck while in the driver’s seat of a car in Auburn.

The shooting occurred in the 1400 block of Auburn Way South Friday morning.

The passengers got out of the car and the driver, a woman, then tried to run them down with the vehicle, Pierson said.

One of the passengers then shot the woman in the head or neck area.  The car then hit a light pole.

The passengers then fled.

One person, who may have fired the gun, is in custody.
