Amber Alert canceled for abducted 1-year-old boy

FIFE, Wash. — An Amber Alert issued Sunday morning for a 1-year-old boy was canceled.

Authorities in Kalispell, Mont., issued an alert for Brayden Blasius, who is currently a ward in the state of Montana.

According to police, Brayden was taken from his home by his non-custodial parents, 28-year-old Beau Gibson and 23-year-old Bryndi Blasius, on Saturday around 11:30 p.m.

Montana authorities said that Gibson and Blasius were possibly headed to Washington state with Brayden in a Chevrolet pickup, which was reported to have been stolen in Montana.

On Sunday morning, Fife police received a report that the stolen pickup was parked at an apartment complex in the 5700 block of 23rd Street East.

When police arrived at the location, they took Gibson and Blasius into custody.

Brayden was found unharmed inside the pickup.

The Fife Police Department is in contact with Montana authorities and are assisting with the investigation.

Police said Gibson and Blasius were booked into the Pierce County Jail and are expected to face charges in both Washington and Montana.

Brayden was taken into protective custody, and will be turned over to Child Protective Services in Washington state.
