Aircraft fans come out for annual event in Arlington

Thousands of airplanes fans were in Arlington for the annual fly-in this weekend.

ARLINGTON, Wash. — Planes from around the country took part in the event, which included vintage, restored and experimental planes.

Organizers emphasized that they are keeping track of the aircraft and making sure everyone is safe.

“We’re prepared if unfortunately something happens. We have a great response team, we have emergency response, we brief that all year. We have safety briefings every day, coming up into the event with all of our partners," said Executive Director Barb Tolbert.

The annual Arlington Fly-In started Thursday and ends Saturday.
