88-year-old woman found after disappearing in Auburn

NORTH BEND, Wash. — An 88-year-old Auburn woman with dementia who took her daughter’s SUV and left their home in Auburn Tuesday was found safe in North Bend Wednesday.

Helen C. Inks was reported missing by her daughter after Inks took the keys to her daughter’s Jeep and left.

Inks has early onset dementia and uses several medications to control other medical issues.  Inks did not take her medications with her.

Inks is described as Asian, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 160 pounds, with short gray and white curly hair.  Before being found, she was last seen driving a white 1995 Jeep Cherokee with Washington license AHH4084.

Police said Inks is known to frequent casinos and could have also been traveling toward family property in the Chelan and Grant county areas.

Checks of area casinos and the family property came up empty.
