62-year-old pedestrian struck by van in Kent


A 62-year-old woman was injured Friday night after she was struck by a van in Kent.

KENT, Wash. - Detectives are investigating a collision in Kent that left a 62-year-old woman injured Friday night.

Police said the woman was walking on a sidewalk in the 24100 block of 104th Avenue Southeast. As she was crossing a driveway, a van was pulling out of the driveway and struck her.

Medics took the woman to a local hospital and her injuries were described as life-threatening.

The 48-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured and he was cooperative with investigators.

Police will continue to investigate the incident.
