• 4-year-old boy hurt in fall from Silverdale hotel window


    SILVERDALE, Wash. - A 4-year-old boy was hurt Saturday after he fell out of a Silverdale hotel window, said officials with the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office. 

    The incident happened at the Oxford Suites Hotel in the 9500 block of Northwest Silverdale Way after 2 p.m.

    According to the Sheriff’s Office, the boy was with his family on the second floor of the hotel, where he climbed onto an air condition unit and pushed the window screen out. 

    The boy fell about two feet onto a ledge, and then another eight feet onto the pavement. 

    The boy suffered facial abrasions in the fall and was taken to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma.
