3 Tacoma businesses robbed at gunpoint

Three Tacoma businesses were robbed at gunpoint early Saturday morning, police said.

TACOMA, Wash. — The first robbery happened at about 1:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven at 2901l South 38th Street, the second happened about two hours later at the 7-Eleven at 3115 Sixth Avenue and the third happened at about 4:45 a.m. at the Safeway at 2411 North Proctor Street.

Police said the robber used similar methods at each location – pulled out gun, demanded money and fled the scene.

No one was hurt during the robberies.

Police told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the description of the robber was similar but varied. They described the robber as a black man, with a black hoodie and black sweat pants. He is about 5 feet 9 inches tall to 6 feet 2 inches tall.

The robber remains at large.
