3 separate fights break out at Kent high school

KENT, Wash. — Three separate altercations broke out at a Kent high school Thursday afternoon.

Chris Loftis, from the Kent School District, said the three incidents happened within three minutes of each other in the cafeteria at Kent Meridian High School.

Loftis told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the fights were all unrelated and happened in a restricted area.

After the fights, students exited the school and went on to the streets.

The school’s security and a Kent Police Department officer were called in to monitor the scene, and all three incidents were contained.
