Police: 3 men at large after break-in at marijuana dispensary

SEATTLE — Police are looking for three men who broke in to a marijuana dispensary and robbed a night watchman at gunpoint, according to the Seattle Police Department.

Police said the incident happened at 4:26 a.m. when police responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 8700 block of Lake City Way Northeast.

According to police, a 70-year-old watchman was working at a medical dispensary when three men broke into the building. Two of the men had handguns. The watchman was held at gunpoint while they filled the watchman’s car with about 40 marijuana plants and a laptop.

The three men then fled the scene in the watchman’s vehicle. Police described the vehicle as a red 1993 Toyota Camry station wagon.

According to police, one of the men is described as black, in his 40s, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 270 pounds, with a heavy build, wearing dark clothing and armed with a handgun. Another man is described as white, in his 40s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build, wearing a gray shirt, gray pants and armed with a handgun. The third man is described as white, in his 40s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build and wearing a gray hoodie.

Police said the watchman was not injured during the robbery and waited 30 minutes before calling 911.

Detectives went to the scene and are continuing to investigate the incident.
